She’s no stranger to nude scenes and now Game of Thrones‘ Emilia Clarke has stripped down again.

The 29-year-old actress is featured on the cover of the magazine Violet Grey and in an accompanying pictorial, in which she appears topless with wet hair and also strikes more sultry poses in a slew of sexy outfits.

Among them are a long sleeve, sapphire sequined wrap gown with a plunging neckline and thigh-high split, as well as a long sleeve maize silk dress with dark, leaf-shaped beading.

Clarke has also appeared naked several times on Game of Thrones while playing ruler Daenerys Targaryen, most recently two weeks ago, in a fiery scene that reminded viewers just how powerful the “Mother of Dragons” is.

The actress talked to Violet Grey about how she gets into her character.

“Find out how the character walks,” she said. “You know what shoes she’s wearing—the way you hold yourself in heels is very different from the way you hold yourself in Crocs.”

Clarke also named her favorite body feature—and her answer may surprise you.

“I’m proud to say I’ve never had braces; my top teeth are just naturally straight,” she said.

You can catch Clarke on Game of Thrones Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on HBO as well as in the new romantic drama film Me Before You, which was released this past Friday.

From ‘Game of Thrones’ and ‘The Hunger Games’ to their first celebrity crushes, we had Emilia Clarke and Sam Claflin, stars of ‘Me Before You,’ ask each other the hard questions.

NEW YORK — To fans of HBO’s Game of Thrones,Emilia Clarke is Daenerys Targaryen, a shrewd, dragon-wielding conqueror and one of TV’s fiercest heroines.

So when Me Before You director Thea Sharrock suggested she play Louisa Clark  — a spunky, idealistic young woman who takes a job caring for a wealthy, wheelchair-bound quadriplegic (Sam Claflin) — screenwriter Jojo Moyes was understandably puzzled.

“I couldn’t see it,” says Moyes, who adapted her 2012 romantic novel for the big screen (in theaters Friday). “She was, for me, irrevocably linked to long, blond hair and dragons and looking very stern. But the moment you actually see her without the (Thrones) wig, she’s so warm and bubbly, and actually has the physical look of Louisa. It really took no time at all.”

Playing someone who shares her optimistic outlook and humor was part of the appeal to Clarke, who calls Louisa (nicknamed “Lou”) a “more innocent version” of herself.

Reading the book for the first time, “I was in love by page 3,” says Clarke, 29, teasing and laughing with her Me Before You co-star throughout an arduous day of interviews. “Lou felt like such a perfect extension of me. I just understood her, and it was that understanding that brought my excitement.”

Lou’s unbridled joy is a stark contrast to her embittered love interest, Will Traynor. The jet-setting banker has a glamorous girlfriend (Vanessa Kirby) and passion for extreme sports, until he is struck by a motorcycle and paralyzed from the neck down. When Will’s mother (Janet McTeer) hires Lou — who is supporting her working-class family — he initially goes out of his way to put her down, and the two butt heads.

At first, “he’s depressed and angry at the world, but she enters his life and isn’t afraid of the wheelchair and his quadriplegia,” says Clafin, 29, who moviegoers know best as Finnick Odair in The Hunger Games series. “He needs someone to be honest and truthful and put him in his place. Everyone’s obviously just been skirting around him and not treating him like a human, and she’s a breath of fresh air. She’s different from anyone he’s ever met.”

As their friendship grows, Lou learns that Will has decided to end his own life with assisted suicide. In a last-ditch attempt to remind him why life is worth living, she plans a series of “bucket list” excursions to a horse racetrack, opera and beach paradise, where an unexpected romance blossoms.

For Claflin, the emotional challenge far outweighed the physical ones of losing weight and making his body appear limp. “I had to kind of come to terms with why would he make this (decision),” he says. “The answer is that he’s a very determined young man and will do anything in his power to give the people around him the best. In his mind, it’s a very selfless act.”

Moyes adds: “The film asks you to think, ‘Well, what would I do if I was in the same position?’ … Anything that encourages us to think a little more and judge a little less has only got to be a good thing.”

Emilia Clarke is riding the crest of a wave of success in Game of Thrones, and now she is also set to shine in a film adaptation of the British bestseller Me Before You. Here, she talks to the novel’s author Jojo Moyes about fame, feminism, wigs and wonderment…

Game of Thrones has made Emilia Clarke famous, yet thanks to the blonde wig she wears on the show, she’s preserved an ongoing level of anonymity. But roles as Holly Golightly in Breakfast at Tiffany’s on Broadway, in the films Dom Hemingway with Jude Law and Terminator Genisys, and as the face of Dior’s Rose des Vents jewellery collection – in addition to growing tabloid interest – mean that privacy is disappearing fast. The trailer for Me Before You was released in February. Within two weeks, it had notched up over 60 million views. More than half the comments on her Instagram feed, she noted, were now about her as Louisa Clark [her character in Me Before You].

‘The joy of that wig is that I’ve had years to come to terms with where I’m at. It’s easier to handle because of it. You’re like, “OK, I feel comfortable, everyone’s nice. I’m not surrounded by paparazzi”,’ she says. (In fact, I register the exact moment the man at the counter realises who he’s been talking to. Five minutes after we sit down at our crate with our salads, a table is magically found.) Working on a film set can be notoriously tricky: everyone has stories of clashing egos, badly behaved stars (and, yes, writers). But even grizzled, veteran crew members observed what a happy production Me Before Youwas. Perhaps it was down to the director Thea Sharrock, who hails from theatre and is collaborative rather than dictatorial, but it was unquestionably helped by the fact that Clarke and Sam Claflin (Finnick from The Hunger Games; Alistair Ryle in The Riot Club), who plays the male lead Will Traynor, plainly loved working together. It was not unusual to see the two of them skidding around the set on Will’s electric wheelchair, or pranking each other in the trailers. For a weepie about a man who doesn’t want to live, there was an awful lot of laughter.
’These movies happen once in a blue moon. Lou has this quote, “This has been the best six months of my entire life.” That was true for me,’ Emilia says. ‘Our crew had such a giggle. Everyone just got on. Thea is an absolute dreamboat. She’s an actor’s director and, let me tell you, they are few and far between.’

‘She brought a level of professionalism and total dedication to work every day, but never at the expense of fun,’ Sharrock says of Emilia. ‘She was never afraid of hard work, always wanted to be pushed further than she thought she could go. She gave herself entirely to the part of Lou, so much so it was hard sometimes to distinguish Clark from Clarke.’

Me Before You is a female-led film; unusually for a Hollywood-backed production, it has a female director, female writer and three female producers. After the testosterone-fuelled sets of Terminator Genisys and Game of Thrones (which has been repeatedly criticised for scenes of sexual violence against women), this was a new experience for the actress.

‘I’m normally surrounded by dudes. Doing Me Before You meant I didn’t have to be continually proving myself in a man’s world, having to try and force people to listen to me. I’ve got a really strong mum. I was brought up thinking that men and women are equal. It’s only as I’ve got older that I’ve been like: “Mum! What the f…? Why are they treating me differently because I’ve got a pair of tits?”‘

I am reminded of a time on set when I happened to tell her my daughter was having to deal with sexist behaviour for the first time. A few days later, I was handed a bag containing a designer dress and a leather bag that Emilia had brought in for her. ‘This sounds awfully Oprah Winfrey, but I can’t be having a good time unless I feel other people are having a good time,’ she says. ‘A life lived in isolation is not a life lived.’
